is this enough time for wedding day hair and make-up?

My wedding is September 19th @10:30AM. The earliest appointment for my hair and make-up is @ 8 AM. It will take me approximately 20 minutes to get home and then get dressed. is this enough time or should I try to see if I can get in earlier? The hairdresser told me it should take an hour for my hair.

I think that is really cutting it close, I’m sure if you pay a little extra money, she will come in earlier for you.

The last thing you want is to be late to your own wedding! I would want more time to get my dress on and what not.

That is not enough time. What if something goes wrong and it takes longer to get home? Or what if it takes longer to do your hair? It’s better to have more time than to less.

nope… get an earlier appointment or you will be rushed and that is never good…

No, definitely not enough time. you would be cutting it too close. Make other arrangements.

This is definitely not enough time especially if its a 20 min drive to get home, and even though you have tried on your wedding dress at the final fitting it will take much longer on your special day then you might think.

100% positive that you need a much earlier appointment. You will probably want to be at your ceremony location, ready to go, no later than 10:00 so work from there. If it takes 1.5 hours for hair (including travel) that puts you at 8:30. Make up and getting dress can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, that would put you at 7:30. Not sure what your travel time is to the ceremony location so that needs to be considered also.
I would continue to work backwards, but allow yourself time for errors that will be made on your wedding day, it is inevitable. So also plan for time just to be ready to go and to relax before the wedding.

I hope you have a fabulous wedding day!

I dont think its enough time, if its possible to change it, I would. If this is not an option, some things you could do is prepare your hair before hand – have you hair already blow-dried, or straightened ( dont know your type) so the hairdresser just has to style it, this should save some time. Make sure you know what you want before hand. If your getting your make-up and hair done at the same place by different people, see if they can work together at the same time. Show up at 745 incase your person comes in early, this will hopefully save some pre-time. Try and be as organized at home as possible so when you do get back everything is ready so you….hope this helps!

    It’s definitely not enough time.

As a bride, part of your day is being pampered whilst also relaxing. Rushing your hair and make up will stress you.

Give yourself enough time to enjoy the experience…this is meant to be one of the happiest moments in your life.

I would ask your hairdresser for a slightly earlier appointment, just to give you that peace of mind.

    Congratulations and good luck.

That is def. not enough time. You should give your self at least 4 hours just for hair and make up and to relax a little. You don’t want to rush and then stress about being late to your own wedding.

    Best of luck!
