My sister wan'ts me to dye my hair blond for her wedding but I have never colored my hair before?

I have not been blond for many years since before middle school. I really don’t want to start dying my hair now and it has become very dark over the years and I don’t want to keep up with the roots.

Is dying my hair not as big of a deal as I’m making it out to be? I will be in a lot of photos because I’m the maid of honor.

First of all, you can’t ‘dye’ your hair blonde. You have to bleach it out. It’s damaging to your hair, and you’re right – it does take a lot of maintenance. It can also become very costly keeping up with the new growth. Ultimately it’s your decision, not your sister’s. I’m not recommending it, nor am I telling you not to get it. If it would look cute I’d say go for it and you can always go back to dark after the wedding if you please.

yes i agree with the bleaching, that is the only way to turn your dark hair to blonde, but don’t worry, this is not a big deal!
it is actually quite easy, and fun! i have dyed my hair many many times and it is always fun to have a new exiting hair color! and you can always dye it back to brown after the wedding so you don’t have to keep up with the roots =]
go crazy, have fun, but don’t do anything that you don’t want to do 😉

I think your sister is being Bridezilla. You don’t need to dye your hair for a wedding. If she makes you, tell her that she needs to fork up the bucks to take you to a salon and have them do it. That would be the best course of action.
