I’m bi-racial and trying to find a hairstyle for my wedding in a couple of weeks. I have a round face and my hair is shoulder length, tight curls. I would like to wear a informal wedding hairstyle. its a outside wedding and my dress is very simple. I was thinking of maybe putting a flower in my hair instead of a veil, but I’m not able to find any pics for natural curly hair. I was thinking of maybe straighten it and then just wearing it down, but I’m not sure. I have also thought of just wearing my hair natural down. any help would be greatly appreciated.
I will wear a tiarra or flowers I havent decide yet which one and i will also wear a veil, the ones that can tuck in the back and cover the face to walk down the aisle. i will take the veil of after the first dance.
I’m a young bride and I don’t want to look to put up! I have a sleeveless dress and a long veil – just past my butt. Anyway – I hardly ever wear my hair down and I KNOW that my fiance would be shocked to see me with my hair down for the wedding. Would it look bad to have a long veil and my hair down?? Any links to pictures would be GREATLY appreciated!
I have medium length blonde hair… it’s right above the shoulder or just at it. It’s wavy but can easily go straight or curly… I’m looking to get it professionally done.. I also am wearing a veil and blusher… and possibly a tiara.. does anyone have any good ideas for how I might want to do it?..
Here are some pictures of me with my hair straight and curly so you can get a better idea of what I’m working with..:
Well I’m looking for an up-do style.. and the picture of me with curly there isn’t really a good pic honestly.. but you can see how it goes both ways…
oh yea.. and the curly hair pic my hair wasn’t 100% dry yet.. the curls do get softer and all once they dry. Thank you for all the answers so far! If anyone has any pictures of hair that they might think would be nice or that I could bring to the hairstylist if I liked feel free to post them!
I am 20 years old and getting married in 5 weeks. I have purchased a floral circlet and a veil for my wedding. I have short hair, just about shoulder length and layered. I am trying to find an idea so my hair is not just down. should i curl it under the circlet? Maybe half up and half down? Please give me suggestions.
I don’t want real flowers, have a feeling it’ll cost a ton and my florist is already taking all of my money…lol. Where can I get fake orchids that look real enough to put in my hair? I thought of Michaels’ but they might be too large. Any ideas, websites, etc.?
Also, do I have to already have those flowers for my hair trial next week, or will just the veil be enough?
Emily R, I disagree. The well-made ones don’t look fake, and I think it would be much easier to prepare if I had a fake flower all ready, than have to worry about a real one wilting before I even get to the ceremony!
I have three veils… One is a cathedral length, one is finger tip length, and the third is the over the face blusher to be pulled back after my father has given me away. I also have a tiara. I’m finding it hard to find styles that incorporate a veil… I have really long, thick light brown hair. I really want to wear my hair at least partially down.. Any suggestions? Pictures would be a HUGE huge help. Huge. (Btw, I’m about 5’1, size 8 dress, oval face–that might be things you need to know… I dunno). Thanks for all your help!
I am wearing my hair down in loose curls and would like something in my hair (a veil or something), but I don’t know what would look good. If a veil would look good, what kind of veil? I need something that I would wear during the reception too. Please help I am clueless about this. Thank you.
Hi all. I have medium-length Asian hair and sweep bangs. I want to wear my hair down for my wedding but I have very little luck trying to find Asian brides with their hair down. I just want to see pictures of them so I know what can be done to my hair what can’t. Oh, and I’m also gonna have a veil and would really like to have my sweep bangs. Pictures are appreciated. Thanks.
I want my hair wavy and pulled back just a bit to put the comb w/veil on it securely into. I sould be able to do it easily w/ a curling iron in about 30-45 min. Have any of you ever done your own hair for your wedding? Were you happy with it? Will it look any better if I have a professional do it?
I am getting married on the beach and do not want a veil. I thought about maybe a flower, but I want to incorporate my wedding color somehow. My color is bright green. I would look weird with a bright green flower in my hair so how can I do this? I just want a little pop of color. Thanks for the help! Pictures would be great. I don’t know how I am going to wear it yet. That will depend on the hair accessory I choose. Thanks!
I have an oval face and dark brown hair. I am tall (to the point I had to add length to my gown) and have a strapless champagne slight pick-up dress. I wanted my hair to be ‘braided’ like in a celtic old fashion way but the hairstylist couldn’t do what I wanted. I don’t want the typical wedding poof and curls, but have a tiara like headband and veil. I basically want something beautiful but different and all up to show off my necklace. Any suggestions?
I’m not entirely sure of my hair style for the wedding, but I’m thinking blond in back (and puffed up with gel) and blue bangs. What would be a good veil for me? I don’t want one that covers the back hair, but one that goes over my bangs and eyes might be nice.
I have an idea of what I want my hair to look like for my wedding, but I can’t find a picture of anything close to it, so it’s hard to imagine if it will even look the way I am picturing in my head. Basically, I want a half up half down do. I have a gorgeous swavorski crystal headband I would love to wear. What I am picturing is my hair being parted on the side to give the the effect of bangs, as my hair is all one length, and then top portion of hair pulled back to the nape of my neck with loops (I don’t know the technical term for the loop-type curls found in a lot of formal hair styles) and then the rest of my hair down with loose flowing curls. My veil will go in between the 2 sections of hair. Any one have any pics of similar styles or any other ideas???
i’m having a casual afternoon wedding in the fall. my hair is about 3 or 4 inches past my shoulders, one length. it’s naturally wavy so it can be curly or straight. my dress is strapless, kinda bohemian style.
any suggestions on what to do with my hair?
no veil or tiara
any good websites for wedding hair styles? I want elegant half up half down, and I have a veil and tiearra as well so I’m really wanting classy..anyways someone please help!!!also wedding accessories if you know any cheap or nice hair twists or clips..as well.
I am having trouble figuring out what to do with my hair for my wedding day. I am getting married on the beach… -Montego Bay, Jamaica. But, with my angled-bob, the back is pretty short and I would like to wear a tiara and a veil.. just need some help!
I have recently cut my hair just above my shoulders, and our wedding is in ten days. I have always wanted to have long curly hair when I got married, and I have a hair piece that clips over a short ponytail and it looks like I have long curly hair, tied back really nice. I was thinking of having some small flower clips in my hair, and a veil. Would it be weird to use fake hair for your wedding?
How did you wear your hair for your wedding? (Up? Down? Half and half? Straight? Curled? Tiara? Hairpins? Veil? Hat? Headband?)
Were you pleased with the results?
Why did you choose to wear you hair that way?
Was the end result what you had imagined?
Did you like the styles you thought you would or did you end up with something different you loved?
If you’re a guy, did you do anything different with yours? ; )
i am only 20 and getting married in october i want a really beauitful hair style for my wedding, dont care if its up or down. (bare in mind my hair will be shoulder length then and its not the thickest.)
i want either flowers in my hair, or a clip. im not wearing a veil so i need something stunning, thanks all x
I’m thinking about doing my hair myself for my wedding. I’m not wearing a veil, just a tiara. I was just going to curl it until it’s just wavy, style it, and put the tiara on.
Have any of you done your own hair for your weddings or are planning on doing it yourself? How did it turn out? When the professionals ever curl my hair I end up looking like Shirley Temple, so I’m thinking this may be the best way to avoid that…or should I be putting that much pressure on myself on an already stressful day?
I’m trying to think of a bridal hairstyle for my wedding. I’ve been looking on the internet, and most of what I find are "updos". I have long, mid-back length, dark blonde, straight hair. I want to leave most of it down, as this is how I always wear it, and I don’t think my facial features work with my hair pulled back. I am wearing a tiara, and a veil that hits JUST below my hair. Does anyone have any elegant looking ideas?
My 18 year old sister is getting married in Las Vegas next week. She is on a very tight budget and I will be with her. She cannot afford to have her hair and make-up done.
I am proficient at applying make-up, I just would like some color ideas for a wedding.
Her hair is the big issue, she has thick shoulder length (no layers) dark brown hair. It is straight and reletivly easy to work with.
To give you an idea of her looks and coloring, think of Sandra Bullock, they could be twins.
Any help would be appraciated.
I should add that she is wearing a very simplt tiara and veil
I want to wear a flower in my hair for my wedding. If my dress is white, does the flower need to be white also? Would an ivory flower look tacky? I’m wearing it under a veil. My wedding flowers are mostly pink, but I don’t want pink in my hair.
I have long (slightly past shoulder length) curly brown hair. Without "product" the curl goes to just wavy, but with the help of Aveda Be Curly I get long, loose, ringlets that my Mom calls "bolongna curls".
Anyway, I want to wear my hair down and curly for my wedding, probably with no veil, but possibly either with a tiara or flowers.
Does anyone know of a website that has pics of different curly wedding hairstyles? I’m going to hair salons to "audition" hairdressers and I’d like to have some ideas to show them…
I’m looking at hair styles for my wedding and I’m not sure what to look at. I have an oblong face shape with a high forehead. I don’t have/want bangs. I’ll be wearing a 2 tier veil if that makes a difference. My dress is simple white with the gathered bottom. Most sites say that oblong face shapes look good with a slicked back look but that makes my forehead look worse. Any ideas?
